South 고등학교 2학년 Art Creation
Chapters: 2
1. Planning and creating
Researching for your theme · Creative idea methods · Exploring techniques and media · Matching media to theme
- Arts Education: Art Forms, Creating and Running an Art Project – Arts education at school covers several domains: visual arts, music, dance, theatre, cinema and audiovisual art, circus arts and art history. In each one you do three things: practise and create (making), meet and look at art by professionals (receiving), and think and talk about it (reflecting). An art project follows a cycle: an idea or brief, research, experiments, choosing and making, sharing with an audience, and reflecting, with notes or a portfolio kept all the way. Art forms often mix: music with dance, film with theatre. Visiting a museum, concert or theatre and talking with artists builds your own taste and understanding.
- Creative Thinking: How to Make Many Ideas and Pick the Best – Creative thinking is making ideas that are both new and useful. It is a skill anyone can grow. It has two moves: divergent thinking (opening out to many ideas) and convergent thinking (closing in on the best one). Tools help: brainstorming (many ideas, no judging), association (joining unrelated things), SCAMPER (Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to another use, Eliminate, Reverse), and reverse thinking (flip the problem, then flip the answers). Creative people take sensible risks, learn from failure and keep trying. Creativity matters in art, science, engineering, business and daily life.
2. Extending creation
Active use of media · Challenging problem solving · Planning exhibitions · Linking process and outcome

- Art Exhibitions: Planning, Displaying and Viewing Art – An exhibition is a planned public showing of artworks where works, viewers and a venue meet. Venues include museums, galleries, public spaces and online platforms. Planning means choosing a theme and audience, selecting works, then arranging, lighting and labelling them along a visitor path. Viewers respond by describing, analysing, interpreting and judging.
