सामग्री: गिनने योग्य और न गिनने योग्य
कुछ सामग्री गिन सकते हैं: two apples, a banana, an egg, three tomatoes। एक के लिए a / an और ज़्यादा के लिए संख्या लगाओ।
कुछ चीज़ें गिन नहीं सकते: yoghurt, milk, rice, sugar, water। इनके लिए some या माप लगाओ: a cup of rice, a spoon of sugar, a glass of milk।
चरण लिखना
हर चरण आदेश (imperative) में लिखो। क्रिया से शुरू करो और "you" मत लिखो: Wash the apples. Cut the banana. Mix everything.
क्रम वाले शब्द इस्तेमाल करो: First, Next, Then, After that, Finally. हर चरण एक छोटा वाक्य हो और उसमें एक ही काम हो। संख्या भी जोड़ सकते हो, जैसे "Cook for 5 minutes"।
मना करने के लिए Don't लगाओ: Don't touch the hot pan.
अपना व्यंजन प्रस्तुत करना
चित्र या व्यंजन दिखाओ। बताओ: नाम, मुख्य सामग्री, दो-तीन चरण, और आपको यह क्यों पसंद है।
- "My dish is a fruit salad."
- "You need two apples, one banana and some yoghurt."
- "First, put the apples in a bowl. Finally, mix and eat."
- "It is sweet, cool and healthy."
स्वाद के शब्द इस्तेमाल करो: sweet (मीठा), sour (खट्टा), salty (नमकीन), spicy (तीखा), crunchy (कुरकुरा)।
करके देखो (Try it)
ऐसा आसान व्यंजन चुनो जिसमें आग न लगे, जैसे सैंडविच या फ्रूट सलाद। नाम, सामग्री (a, an, some के साथ) और First, Next, Then, Finally से चार चरण लिखो। चाकू या चूल्हे के लिए किसी बड़े की मदद लो। फिर रेसिपी परिवार को पढ़कर सुनाओ।

आम गलतियाँ
- "a rice" या "two milks" लिखना: rice और milk गिने नहीं जाते, इसलिए some rice या a glass of milk लिखो।
- आदेश "Put the apples" की जगह "You put the apples" लिखना।
- एक चरण में दो-तीन काम लिख देना, जिससे समझना कठिन हो जाता है।
- क्रम बिगाड़ देना, जैसे "Finally" को रेसिपी के बीच में लगाना।
