Introducing My School to the World

To introduce your school online, plan the page (name, photo, short text, menu), build it with a website tool or a media post, publish it and share the link. Share only safe things. Never share passwords, home addresses or private photos, and ask permission before showing anyone's face or name.

🎬 Step-by-step story

  1. This is an empty web page. We want to show our school to people everywhere.
  2. First a plan: name on top, a menu on the side, a photo and a short text in the middle.
  3. Now we write the school name and a short "About us" text. Simple and clear words.
  4. We add a photo. The school building or playground is a good, safe choice.
  5. We publish. The page is on the internet and anyone with the link can open it, from any place.
  6. Free play: tap each item. Green means safe to share. Red means do not share.

Tip: drag the 3D scene to turn it. Use two fingers to zoom.

🤔 Common doubts, cleared

Why plan before building?

A plan shows what goes where, so you do not waste time and the page looks clear.

Why is a building photo safe?

It is public: anyone can see the school from the road. It shows no private information.

Who can open my page?

Anyone who has the link, from any place.

Why is an address red?

It is private. A stranger could use it to find a child.

Plan and create the website or media

Start with who will read it (parents, new students) and what they want to know (what we teach, our clubs, how to reach us).

  1. Draw the page on paper: header with the school name, menu, photo, text.
  2. Choose a tool: a website builder or a simple HTML page, or a media post such as a short video or poster.
  3. Write short sentences. Add a title for every photo and a text that describes it (alt text) so people who cannot see it still understand.
  4. Check spelling and test the links on a phone and a computer.

Publish and share the link

Publishing means putting the page on a server so it has an address (a URL). Anyone with the link can open it. Ask a teacher to approve the page before it goes live and keep one adult as the owner of the account.

Sharing online responsibly

Things you post can be copied and may stay online for a very long time. So decide before you post.

Ask permission from every person in a photo (and from parents for young children). Respect the copyright: use your own photos or ones that say you may use them, and write the source. Be kind: no rude comments or jokes about others.
