South 고등학교 2학년 Reading Chinese Classics
Chapters: 1
1. Reading classics
Reading with sound and meaning · Function words and structure · Reading with background · Aesthetic elements · Using learning resources · Inquiry and careers · Applying to own life · Respecting diverse lives · Nature and coexistence
- Research Skills: From a Question to a Finished Project – Research is a careful way of finding an answer. You ask a clear, focused question, plan how to answer it, find information and check that each source can be trusted, collect and analyse your own data, draw a conclusion that the evidence supports, and share it while crediting every source you used.
- Classical Wisdom: Old Words, New Lives – Classics are old texts that people keep reading because their ideas still help. Thinkers in China, India, Greece and elsewhere left short sayings about learning, effort, kindness and living with nature. Many idioms are whole old stories squeezed into a few words. To read a classic, find who said it, when and why, put it into today's words, test whether it is still true, and use it in your own life. Respecting tradition does not mean accepting every old idea: we keep what is wise and question what is unfair.
