CBSE Class 8 Vocational Education (Kaushal Bodh)
Chapters: 3
1. Work with life forms
Projects
- Vocational Skills: Learning by Doing – Vocational skills are practical skills for real work, learned by doing. School programmes group them into three kinds of work: with life forms (gardening, nurseries, animal care, mushrooms), with machines and materials (tools, simple mechanisms, craft, stitching, repair) and in human services (helping people: health camps, tours, hospitality, shops, digital help). Every project follows a cycle: Plan → Do → Check → Improve. Safety comes first: right tools, protective gear, clean work area. Employability skills (communication, teamwork, customer care, grooming, basic IT) make you useful in any job. Skill sectors include retail, tourism and hospitality, food production, beauty and wellness, automotive, apparel, security and financial services.
